All The Kings Men marks unbelievable 10th Season with Hometown Show
Cambridge, MA (February 13, 2012) – Queer Icons and revolutionary comedy sensations All The Kings Men celebrate their 10th season together this March 9th at OBERON. The internationally-touring gender-bending performance troupe, named “Best Lesbian Theatre in America” by Curve Magazine, brings the show back home to where it all began. This full performance unites much beloved sketches with newer pieces, all in ATKM’s trademarked lightening-fast changes, and in genres as diverse as comedic sketches, video, spoken word, and dance.
Named one of GO Magazine’s “100 Women We Love” in 2011, and “chameleonic raconteurs” by The Boston Phoenix, this 6-person troupe has gained critical and underground success all over the map (even making its debut in The Gay and Lesbian Review this year and being taught in UMass college courses), with a likely audience running the gamut from underground queers to comedy fans to straight middle aged women having a killer night out.
Started on a whim 10 years ago for an event at Kristen Porter’s Dyke Night, and gradually gaining traction through word of mouth and creative development, All The Kings Men has developed into a must-see show at the Crown and Anchor in Provincetown seasonally, and has toured to Toronto, London, Los Angeles and beyond, thrilling diverse audiences and developing a huge and outrageous fanbase. On March 9th, see what all the fuss is about- what the fuss has always been about- 10 years later. This one’s for you, Boston.
Tickets run $20 in advance/$25 door, and will be available at www.cluboberon.com or at OBERON, 2 Arrow St., Cambridge, MA. The show starts at 8pm, and seating is limited.
